What is the Massachusetts Health Connector?

The Health Connector is a state-based health insurance Marketplace that makes shopping for affordable health and dental coverage easier for Massachusetts individuals, families, and small businesses. We offer plans from the state’s leading insurers that have been awarded the state’s Seal of Approval, so you can be sure the plan you choose meets both state and national coverage standards.

What is Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is November 1, 2024 through January 23, 2025. This is the time of year individuals and families can enroll in health insurance for the 2025 plan year through the Health Connector without needing to experience a qualifying life event.

January 23, 2025 Open Enrollment ends. This is the deadline to enroll in coverage (or change insurance plans) that starts February 1 or March 1, 2025

Open Enrollment at the state’s Health Connector is now through January 23, 2025 to apply for new health coverage or change health plans for 2025. For those who enroll by December 23, their coverage will start January 1, 2025.

ConnectorCare plans have $0 or low monthly premiums, low out-of-pocket costs, and no deductibles. Plus, you may be able to fill certain prescription medicines at no cost for chronic health conditions like asthma, coronary artery disease (a type of heart disease), diabetes, and hypertension (high blood pressure).

People with incomes up to 500% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify. For example, in 2025, the income limit for an individual is $75,300, and for a family of four, it is $156,000.
