The ConnectorCare Expansion Pilot Annual Report highlights the continued impact of extending affordable health coverage in Massachusetts to residents with low and moderate incomes. Since the pilot began in 2024, more than 155,000 individuals have gained coverage through the program, with nearly 49,000 actively enrolled as of June 2026. The program continues to offer lower premiums, no deductibles, and reduced co-pays, helping residents access preventive care, prescription medications, and other essential health services while improving financial stability and peace of mind.
The report also outlines the effects of recent federal policy changes, which reduced eligibility for the expansion pilot in 2026 and led to coverage losses or higher costs for some residents. Even with these challenges, the pilot continues to protect tens of thousands of Massachusetts residents from steeper premium increases and remains an important part of the Commonwealth’s commitment to near-universal health coverage.
