Health Connector 2027 Open Enrollment Social Media Toolkit
October 2026
Purpose
Open Enrollment for plan year 2027 is here! This is the time for people across the Commonwealth to shop and apply, change plans, or renew their health coverage through the Massachusetts Health Connector. We and community partners throughout the state are prepared to support members affected by a changing policy environment that will impact their health coverage and costs next year.
For many, there could be confusion, loss of coverage, or increased financial strain–especially in communities that already face systemic barriers to coverage and care. The Health Connector is committed to helping members and applicants, explaining how these federal changes might impact them, and guiding them toward the best coverage choices for them and their families
This toolkit is designed to help:
- Promote an Open Enrollment period that started earlier than past years
- Communicate key actions clearly to keep qualifying members covered, like how to send documents (proof), or how to keep their information up-to-date.
- Help members maintain coverage and access care by driving them to take action and enroll.
Keep Your Account Updated and Secure Your Subsidies
With a new Open Enrollment window of October 23, 2026 through January 23, 2027, along with shifting federal policy, taking action early is encouraged.
For the 2027 plan year, the Massachusetts Health Connector has experienced some important updates. Our priority remains helping qualifying people access health and dental coverage. Current members may need to update their account information and upload all necessary verification documents they owe to ensure their 2027 eligibility and plan options are accurate.

Open Enrollment at the Massachusetts Health Connector: Act Now for 2027
Open Enrollment runs from October 23, 2026, to January 23, 2027.
Open Enrollment at the Massachusetts Health Connector is your yearly chance to get health and dental coverage for 2027. If you already have a plan, this is the time to make sure it still meets your needs. Many people can also get help paying for coverage.
Health insurance helps pay for doctor visits, prescriptions, and care when you need it most. Don’t let the deadline pass you by!
What You Can Do During Open Enrollment
If you don’t have health insurance, Open Enrollment is your time to sign up for a new health or dental plan. If you already have coverage through the Health Connector, you can renew your plan for the coming year. You can also switch to a different plan that better fits your needs and your budget.
Learn What’s Changing This Year
Federal and other changes may impact some people’s eligibility or coverage this Open Enrollment. These changes can affect your costs, your savings, and your plan choices. Visit the Health Connector’s Open Enrollment updates page to learn what’s new and what it means for you.
Steps to Take Now
- Check this year’s important updates.
- Update your information. Changes to your income or household size can affect your savings.
- Review your plan. Make sure it still covers your doctors and medicines.
- Compare your options. Another plan may cost less or fit you better.
- Read your mail and emails. Coverage notices include important deadlines.
- Apply or renew early. Starting early gives you time to ask questions.
Before you apply, gather a few items to make the process smoother. Have proof of income ready, such as pay stubs or tax forms, along with Social Security numbers for everyone in your household. It also helps to keep a list of your doctors, medications, and your current plan details, if you have one.
Ways to Save on Coverage
Many people may qualify for help paying for their plans. The only way to know what savings you can get is to apply.
- Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC) lower your monthly premium. Your premium is the amount you pay each month for your plan. If you qualify, the tax credit is applied directly to your plan, so you pay less each month.
- ConnectorCare plans offer low-cost coverage for people who qualify. These plans can have low monthly premiums and low costs when you visit the doctor or fill a prescription.
Get Covered and Stay Covered
Open Enrollment runs from October 23, 2026, through January 23, 2027. During this time, you can sign up for, renew, or switch health and dental plans. Savings with APTC and ConnectorCare plans can help lower your costs if you qualify.
Don’t wait. Get covered and stay covered. Visit MAhealthconnector.org today to compare plans, check your savings, and enroll.
