Federal Changes
Recent federal policy changes affecting the Massachusetts Health Connector and other state Marketplaces may result in many people losing their coverage and becoming uninsured if they’re uninformed and do not take timely action. These policy changes could make it more challenging for individuals and families to enroll and could result in higher premiums by reducing the amount of available tax credits.

2027 Open Enrollment Starts October 23: Get Ready Now
Mark your calendars! The Massachusetts Health Connector’s 2027 Open Enrollment Period is coming, and this year starts earlier: October 23, 2026, through January 23, 2027.
What is Open Enrollment?
Open Enrollment is the time each year when you can sign up for a new health or dental plan or change the plan you have. Outside this window, you can only make changes if you have a qualifying event, like losing the health insurance you had through a job.
Plans you pick during Open Enrollment start on January 1, 2027, or February 1, 2027. If you miss the January 23 deadline, you usually cannot sign up or switch until next year. So, it’s important to act before the deadline.
